Decisions are sometimes overwhleming

I have been running around searching for hte best price on Low-E Argon gas windows, originally we were going to get them in UTAH when we were visiting, we did not get that arranged in time, so now I have been scouring the earth for windows and I need to save a bunch of money.

We bought a New PELLA door on craigslist. If you have never used craigslist before, you should check it out! A free online classified listing with everything from jobs, used merchandise to NEW DOORS! ;)

SO now I have this beautiful 15 lite solid argon gas door, and I really would like 3 more to match. My basement has room for a french door, but they are running upwards of $1300.00! YOWZERS! we have $1000.00 budgeted for all 3 doors!

My front door I want to be solid wood, with windows in it I found a nice one yesterday at MENARDS. so hopefully Wes agrees and I can be done searching!

My good friend from High School got married yesterday! I am so happy for him. I hope he finds all the happiness you can find in a union . I know he will make Christ the center of his relationship, and he will adore and care for this sweet girl he has made his wife.

Speaking of Christ!!

I was sent this link by my dear friend whom I have the privilege of visiting teaching:
Sheli C. sent me this... enjoy, I Have.

There is a hole in the ground....

I have a hole!

The house has begun

Here are the photos of the groundbreaking of our new house. It has been 'in the works' for a LONG time, so it is nice to see progress!

The forms are up!

Another week closer to SPRING!

The weather has been bitter. Not just cold, but blustery, windy and frozen, then we have freak days of 70 degrees....then again in the teens. I am too cheap (and broke) to buy more propane, so we are heating exclusively with a fireplace....not a high efficiency wood stove, nope an open face poorly ventilated fire place.

It keeps us all close together... as in, we all sit in the rocking chair next to the fire, and cuddle. it is 50 inside the house, and when we can get the wet, rotten wood to light, it will warm up to 56-58 .

So now you know why I am counting down until spring...that and I have all my garden starts ready to go. I have planted Tomatoes, herbs (12 varieties) Pumpkins, Purple Beans, Zinnias, Lettuce, 3 types.

And more to come, although with the house this cold, they are going to germinate rather slowly.... Oh well, there is only so much I can do on a limited budget.

Rubi loves to climb onto my lap while I am typing, and whisper sweet messages to me.

Right now she is asking me if Jesus created my Emac... and who made Santa, So if Jesus made all the persons, then he must have made Santa. But did he make his clothes. he must have, since he made Santa...
I love the theory of a 4 year old....

According to her I am the best "fire maker, and heart maker, and kisser, and the bestest on Earth at everything" everything, well, who can beat that??

Feb. 22, 2008

Wow I get busy. We went to Utah (again) my baby brother Seth got married, to a sweet girl Melinda. They are prefect for each other!

The wedding was nice and we were happy to be there. But the financial crunch it puts on us is getting to be too much.

I really don't want to go again for a L.o.n.g. time. I get tired of cinching down the belt when we get home, just cause gas & feeding my crew gets taxing.

I also saw my cousin Juston. He and his ADORABLE wife Heather are now getting divorced, they signed papers, and it breaks my heart, I love both of them dearly and I think juston has made some HUGE mistakes, but Love can conquer all. If we will let it.

Moving on. Too depressing.
I got to see some videos of our dearest friends in Homer, AK.
The Greear Family were are biggest support while navigating the ins & outs of Headstart & Life in general. We sure love them, and miss them....I am all choked up thinking about the fun times we had together, and boy I wish I was rich and could see them often. (Especially when they make their next trip to Bali!) wink wink

I promised pix of our newest family member, here is Fiona!
