What next...What now?

One year.

What can change in one year? You can gestate a new life in less than one year.

You can build a home in 1 year.

You can change your habits, therefore changing your life, you can create new traditions.

So much potential in a year.
Last year I had a goal, I was intensely focused on, and I was working SO HARD to accomplish my goal to obtain my CPM.

There was a trade off. The hours are brutal and the expenses involved were draining.
I was in love with the women I worked with, considered it an honor to call them my friends & comrades.

I still love these women. they are an inspiration to me.

This year is different.

Change is good.

Life is change.

And for now I re-group, re-assess, and pray that my heart will accept the path that is set before me.

I adore my life, I am in love with my husband, I am honored to parent my wonderful children.
And I accept the challenge to follow this path wherever it takes me, do not pity me, for I choose this path. I accept all that it entails, I know it will not be easy, but that which is easy seldom produces excellence.

The LEAD program I have been developing for years will continue to be developed, I will seek out opportunities to encourage the youth and the downtrodden, i love to see hope ignited in the eyes of those who felt there was no hope.

I enjoy seeing the potential of youth pushing beyond the norm and reaching for that which will bring them freedom, and peace, and their own definition of success!

Success for me is knowing that my children feel loved, supported and challenged.
Success is seeing my husband feel cherished and supported.
Success is knowing I have pleased my Father in Heaven with the work I put forth.
Success is feeling the love of those around me.
Success is sharing my testimony in word, deed and action.

Success is knowing that today I am closer to my goal than yesterday, it may not be as rapid as I originally scheduled, but a step in the right direction is still right.

And so I slow my pace, I evaluate what is Good, what is Better and what is Best.

My best is supporting my family and my Savior.
My best is praying earnestly for the courage to do what is necessary.

I AM NOT GIVING UP.

I am living, loving, learning to be adaptable, to be obedient, to be humble.

Pray for me. As I pray for you.

Time to Believe Part 5...Seek out mentors

So you have realized who you are.
And you have studied all you can.
Now you are ready to move onto the next level, you are BOOK SMART but lack experience.

So this is the part where you HUMBLE yourself, you accept that you only understand in THEORY your area of expertise, and you find someone with VAST experience and working knowledge on what you have chosen.

Find a Mentor.

Sounds difficult. Maybe. But most people who are the experts in their field enjoy SHARING this passion & JOY! They WANT others to love what they love, and so when they see a eager, young(or older), energetic individual that has shown such interest in what they have interests in...they are typically THRILLED with the opportunity to share in that passion.

So use a little flattery, (for them) and a bit of humility (for you) and ask them to teach you. Be willing to learn however they offer to teach, if that means you will be scrubbing toilets for the first 3 months of your apprenticeship (because they have not had the time to get around to it....) then ACCEPT that JOB! WORK like you have never worked before.... in the end you will gain their respect and TRUST and they will gladly impart all their wise advice and experience for your benefit.

be an ASSET to them!

Be patient, Be Kind, Be humble, Be HUMBLE and be WILLING to WORK for it!

(in the end it is pretty fun......ENJOY the JOURNEY!)

First time for everything!

No, I have NOT had this baby!

He is very accustomed to his environment ;)

Actually I have had several blessings, and we spent allot of energy on Sunday with prayer, we finally got some answers, (I think)

This baby, has grown a very short cord.(Is that a sign of things to come, am I going to have a hard time raising my boys with short cords, since they wont want to leave their momma?)

Any way....

He is not able to drop down into the birth canal because of this, so we meet the Dr. Thursday. He says we will see if we can monitor contractions, and see if baby can tolerate a vaginal birth.

If his heart rate drops significantly during a contraction, then we have a problem, I don't foresee not being able to do this vaginally, however we have decided to birth in the hospital for our safety net.

It is what the Lord has asked us to do.

It has taken ALLOT of tears, and prayers and humility to be willing to go to the hospital, after I have so diligently planned a home birth. I will be humble, and I will accept the answer to prayer. Hopefully this means we will be greatly blessed, not only with a smooth delivery, but a healthy baby as well!

Thanks for your prayers, and Love, and concern.

Big Momma.
