Pears & Applesauce

This Tuesday was a busy one, I woke we did school & Devotional and then the kids went to work on their writing projects. I mowed the front lawn, and then prepared bottles for canning. I met with some very energetic ladies who had been canning for 3 weeks! HOLY COW 3 WEEKS! Pears, Peaches, Tomatoes, Spaghetti sauce, salsa, busy busy ladies, I wish I had the produce to be so industrious. But my wonderful garden has not done so well.

Here is a sample of the beautiful pears and the 1/2 gallon jars of Applesauce (since my kids got through a quart at each sitting!)

It makes me think of days gone by. All the caning I used to do. Some times I miss it. Then I remember how much work it is and I just don't have the energy. Leave it for the young ones. It is so fun to go to your storage and see all that hard work and now you get it eat it. Hang in there. Love ya

Sounds exhausting right now--no that's just me; exhausted from a day of moving, knowing there is another full day to go.

Have I told you lately how much I honor and respect you? You show your kids how to live by ranking so low on the hypocricy scale. You live your beliefs everyday, all the time. I know you are tired and it's hard and so I am sending you an energy high five! You rock!

Thanks for the hi-5

If only I could muster up the energy to finish the to-do list each day...

It just gets longer and longer!
