Happy Birthday to my MOM!
My mom is amazing, she has overcome so many trials in her life, she is truly a "refined" woman.
When we read in the scriptures about the refiners fire, and we learn that as we pass through challenges, and overcome weaknesses we are like Silver, or Iron, that has been worked from and Unrefined metal, with inconsistencies, and blemishes and impure properties then the fire starts, and with the heat all the imperfections are drawn out, and you are left with a REFINED metal. Beautiful, and useful.
This is my mom.
She is refined, beautiful, and oh-so-useful! A little too useful if you ask me, she can do a thousand things at once, and not need anyones assistance nor does she need anyone's advice, she KNOWS what she knows and she is good at nearly everything!
Here is a list of the things my mom can do: (AND HAS DONE)
Builds; cars, beds, bookshelves, RV's, Corn Dog wagons, porcelain dolls.
Repairs; Cars, beds, furniture, any article of clothing, Corn Dog Wagons.
Designs; Floral arrangements, quilts, houses, landscaping, pools, Birthday cards, scrapbook pages, beautiful home furnishings, hand crafted dolls, Doll clothes.
Mends; hearts, tears, empty places, Wedding dresses, Pound Puppies, Cabbage Patch dolls, Barbie tents, barbie clothes, Replica GUESS jeans ala 1982.
Install; electrical outlets, lighting, trim & carpentry, Stoves, Dishwashers, plumbing, ANY mechanical apparatus.
Skills she has mastered; Photography, Scrap booking, Forgiveness, Cruising, Loving rowdy grand kids.... no matter how many!
Tests she has Passed; 5 births, 5 teenagers, 7 almost 9 grand kids, Cancer, Broken Bones, Farming, Carnivals, Jet skiing, Boating, Sand Volley ball, mothering, death. And MUCH MUCH more!
I love you mom!
YOU ROCK!

The Love Dare challenge
How many of us have been guilty of not giving ourselves entirely to our spouse?
I know i have, I watched the movie to night "Fireproof" and I was really impressed.
It has given me another push, or nudge towards taking this challenge, to be kinder to my spouse, and to show an increase of Love towards those around me. Rather than being impatient and short with their shortcomings, I will be Charitable and work harder at Loving the way Christ loves.
I hope you will take the time also to evaluate where you can improve in your marriage and strengthen the relationship or rather that covenant you have made.
Our families and the relationships we have with them, are the only things that we will cherish when everything has been said and done.

Less than 20 days to go.
Abigel the Diaper Caper
I have been trying to not count days, but with that cute Ticker, who can help it?
Baby is sitting transverse, and I have been working on moving him into the right position, HE is stubborn though. Just like Zeke, At east this time I have found an awesome Dr. who can fix me up, she does acupuncture and is wonderful.
I spent the day shopping with Sasha yesterday, we had lots of fun, we even got our hair cut! She got a fun fun do- I was jealous, but I promised Wes I would not go short again for a while.... Maybe after my first marathon that will be my motivation!
I have a Bazillion things I want to get done, the family room needs to be painted and trimmed, then I can put the furniture back, the kids rooms are all a mess because the stuff from the family room needed to be emptied. So as soon as I get a burst of Super powers, I will finish the major project (aka family room) and maybe be able to rest my mind.
I want to prepare 50 frozen meals to use after all my help has gone. (Feb 19th.)
I need to finish laundry
Mop Floors
Scour bathroom
Take family pictures
Prepare baby announcement
It would be so blessed to have the family room done before my mom comes to visit. (Feb 9th) to have a place to send the kids and not destroy their bedrooms!
OK so now i am off to see if i can hunt down that motivation... energy... send some my way if you read this!

A post, jst to post
I have no coherent thoughts, and I am weighed down with pain from being 4 weeks from delivery, I sit in the "Ugly" chair most of the day, because when I try to move out of it, I am all frozen in the hips and back, it is so painful! It takes me 4 steps before I can straighten out and stand upright,
I saw the blessed Chiropractor today, she is wonderful! and has a gift for getting me out of pain, can you believe it has been a whole year since I have made it in to see her (for me) I need to do it at least once a month, when I leave her office I feel not only better in the bones, but she makes me laugh too!
Rubi asked me if she was a Doctor or a friend, since we were laughing so heard Rubi heard it from the waiting room, She is both, I really like her, and appreciate her insight, next time I will not wait so long to see her...
next Rubi and Zeke & I went to Wal Mart, my Razr phone is broken (surprise surprise,) it just stopped taking a charge, and of course Tmobile will not replace it, so I have to figure it out.
4 weeks away from Delivery day (D-Day) I am making the mental preparations for the labor and delivery, and look forward to sharing the details with you!

Another Great Christmas Surprise!!!
I got a Christmas Card in the mail today.
It was from our good friends the ARNOLD'S in AZ. Not only did I get an adorable and fun photo, but I got a highly coveted DVD.
I was so stunned it brought tears to my eyes!
THANKS MARLA you are awesome! I am so blessed to be a friend of your family and I consider it a great compliment that you thought to send this gift to me. I will treasure it and use it up (probably wear it out) It is on target to be my Sabbath Video. Probably on a continuous loop. I LOVE IT!!!
Thanks, from the bottom of my heart.
We also had a fun filled week belated Holiday fun with Wes, he arrived home from work a couple days early (THANKS Bruce Tweto at Hageland, he takes good care of us!)
So Wes arrived home, took a nap and the party started at 6, the Grove family arrived, and soon after the Gardner's. We had lasagna, chips, dip, blueberry pie (Madi made it) tons & tons of food, and fun, we played games Apples to Apples, and Man Bites Dog, we played Yahtzee, and National Geographic Geography Pursuit. WHAT FUN! thanks to all who came and made this a great New Years eve.
The next morning we extended the festivities and the Groves were here for Breakfast, we made waffles (it took us almost 2 hours!) and then the kids cleaned up while we lounged on the couch, visited and played a few more games. 48 hours of partying. My kind of holiday!!!
